Urbnest Property Pty Ltd (ABN 63 684 602 793), trading as Urbnest Property, of 65 Old Cleveland Road, Greenslopes QLD 4120. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect your name, phone number, email and postal address; details of a property you own or want to sell, lease or buy; information in a tenancy application, such as identification, employment, income, rental history and referees; and information about how you use this website.

3. How we collect it

Most information comes directly from you: through our website forms, property report and appraisal requests, phone calls, emails and inspections. We may also collect information from people you authorise us to contact, such as referees, previous agents or landlords, and automatically through cookies and analytics when you use this site.

4. How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, prepare appraisals, market, sell, lease and manage properties, assess tenancy applications, handle bonds and maintenance, keep you updated about properties and services you have asked about, and meet our obligations under Queensland property and tenancy law, including the Property Occupations Act 2014 (Qld) and the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (Qld).

5. Who we share it with

We only share what is needed. That can include the owner or landlord of a property you enquire about or apply for, tradespeople attending a managed property, the Residential Tenancies Authority for bond lodgement, and the service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, software, email and reporting tools. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Third-party services on this website

This website uses third-party tools, including the Cotality (formerly CoreLogic) property report widget provided by LeadPlus, RateMyAgent review widgets, Google Maps and website analytics. When you use these tools, the provider handles your data under its own privacy policy.

7. Information stored outside Australia

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Marketing

If you have asked to hear from us, we may send you property updates and market information. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

9. Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, and then securely destroy or de-identify it.
